In order to get people's awareness about people experiencing difficulties to read, the Greenville Literacy Association advertised for their 2010 Book Sale with a lot of creativity. They have created illusions on the streets for everyone to realize the efforts the association is making everyday to help the people read more and more and tackle these difficulties.

Ideosphere

As usual, an extremely interesting TED talk about the birth and development of 'good' ideas. How do we become enlighted ? Where do ideas come from ? If you have a minute to spare, go for it !

The Ideosphere is a concept I read about in a book by Werber (see more here in French) and loved right away when I came across it. Werber was saying we can see the world as an ideosphere. People are connected to each other for the ideas they share consciously or unconsciously.

Before the Internet and before, scientists would discover the same phenomenum without knowing each other and working more 1000 kilometers away. With the Internet, ideas can spread a lot faster and we can select the one we want.

Ideas spread and shape our world. it is important to know where they come from and why we ought to share them with everyone.

Dan & Dave Buck, the magician twins who came to visit us last July in Paris have been invited on Pinetages stage at Sorcerers Safari Magic Camp for a Q&A session. You can watch the video of their workshop at the Cariatides in Paris : here.

However they understood quickly that the objective of the questions wouldn't take very long since the first very important question was : "Do you like pie ?"

Les Français sur un Nuage ... Doré

Une vidéo hallucinante avec une musique parfaite en hommage aux équipes de France parties du 1er au 5 aout à Menzelinsk (Tatarstan, Russie) lors des Championnats du Monde de Parachutisme 2010 en Vol Relatif (chute à plusieurs VR2, VR4, VR8 +videoman) , Disciplines Artistiques et Voile Contact (précision de la conduite et des figures quand la voile est déployée).

Les sauts s'effectuent avec un caméraman qui a un rôle prépondérant. Il doit suivre la formation au millimètre pour que tous les points soient validés. La durée d'une chute est d'environ 50s donc les points sont comptés sur les 35 premières secondes dès la sortie de l'avion ; pour laisser le temps aux équipes de se séparer dans de bonnes conditions de sécurité. Les équipes marquent un point à chaque figure réalisée dans sa totalité, tous les contacts entre les skydivers doivent être synchronisés et effectués simultanément.

Au total, ce sont 7 médailles qui ont été ramenées dans 9 disciplines dont 5 d'Or : Champions du Monde de Vol Relatif à 4 Open, Champions du Monde de Vol Relatif à 4 Féminin, Champions du Monde de Vol Relatif à 8, Champions du Monde de vol Relatif Vertical, Champions du Monde de FreeStyle, Vice Champions du Monde de Rotation à 4, Bronze en Séquence à 4, 4ème et 5ème en Séquence à 2, et 4ème en FreeFly.
